I’ve heard about this recipe for years, I always thought the combination was really weird so I was never interested until my sister challenged me to this recipe challenge

Ingredients For chicken and waffle tower

  • 3 lb
    chicken wings
  • 2 c
    flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic and herb seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • cooking oil for
  • 1 tsp
    mustard powder
  • WAFFLES
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/3 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 3/4 c
    millk
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla
  • SPICY SAVORY SYRUP
  • 1/3 can
    maple syrup
  • 1 tsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    hot sauce

How To Make chicken and waffle tower

    To make Chicken: Clean the chicken wings removing all fat and feathers, pat dry. season wings on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic and herb seasoning, mustard powder and paprika. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

    In a shallow bowl, stir together flour salt and pepper. Working one at a time, coat chicken in flour mixture.

    In a deep fryer, heat oil-filled to safety line to (about 350°) Working in batches, fry chicken until deeply golden and cooked through, 12 to 15minutes.

    Drain on a paper towel-lined sheet pan.

    To make waffles, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

    In a medium bowl combine eggs, vegetable oil, milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Wisk until mixed well. Pour into bowl with dry ingredients and stir until combined.

    Make waffles according to waffle iron instructions.

    To Make the Spicy Savory Syrup. Whisk together maple syrup, butter, honey, and hotsauce in a small bowl.
