Ingredients For chicken and pecans in hoisin sauce

2boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1egg white, lightly beaten

1 tspcornstarch

1/2 tspsalt

1 tspdry white wine

1 cpecan or walnut pieces

2-4 Tbspvegetable oil

1 Tbspsugar

1/2 tspgarlic powder

2 Tbsphoisin sauce
How To Make chicken and pecans in hoisin sauce

1Cut the chicken into 3/4 inch pieces; place in a medium bowl.

2Mix together the egg white, cornstarch, salt, and wine. Add to the chicken pieces and stir to coat well. Set aside.

3Saute the nuts in oil in a medium skillet over medium heat until lightly browned. Remove the nuts with a slotted spoon; drain on papertowels.

4Add the reserved chicken mixture to the skillet, and cook over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove chicken, reserving the drippings in the skillet. Drain chicken on papertowels.

5Add the sugar, garlic powder, and hoisin sauce to the drippings in the skillet; cook, stirring constantly for 1 minute or until the mixture is thoroughly heated. Add the reserved nuts and chicken. Cook until thoroughly heated and chicken is cooked. Serve over rice, if desired.
