Ingredients For chicken and cheesy rice casserole

  • 2 c
    cooked chicken
  • 2 c
    cooked jasmine rice
  • 1/2 c
    green beans
  • 1/2 c
    corn
  • 1/2
    bell pepper chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    tones garlic and rosemary spice
  • 2 Tbsp
    bacon drippings
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 tsp
    each: onion powder, garlic powder, basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp
    celery salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 c
    mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • saltines and butter melted.

How To Make chicken and cheesy rice casserole

    In a large bowl combine the first 6 ingredients. Preheat oven 350 F

    In a saucepan over medium high heat bacon drippings and butter. Add flour and cook for a minute or two.

    Slowly stir in chicken broth, stirring constantly. Add onion, garlic, basil,oregano, paprika, celery saltine cayenne pepper. Cook,stirring constantly for 2-3 minutes. Taste Add more spices to your liking.

    Set off of heat,and stir in mozzarella until melted. Stir in sour cream.

    Stir sauce in to the chicken mixture. Pour into a casserole dish sprayed with pam. Top with crushed saltines and melted butter. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
