This is a recipe that my husband and I collaborated on. He says that something always tastes better if we both worked on it. I tend to believe it's true. This is playing with your food for grown-ups. Just open the cabinet and combine the things that look like they may taste good mixed together. Sometimes you will even surprise yourself. :)

Ingredients For cheesy chicken and broccoli casserole

  • 3-4
    chicken breasts fillets, cooked and shredded
  • 2 can
    broccoli cheddar soup
  • 2 c
    frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
  • 2 box
    uncle ben's long grain and wild rice
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1/2 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 - 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make cheesy chicken and broccoli casserole

    Cook Rice according to pkg. directions.

    Combine rice, chicken, soup and broccoli. Mix well and pour into a greased 9 x 13 casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

    In a small bowl, pour butter over bread crumbs and mix until crumbs are coated. Stir in shredded cheese.

    Spread crumb topping over casserole and bake at 350 degrees for an additional 15 minutes to brown topping.
