    shredded swiss or muenster cheese

    dijon mustard

    beef-flavored bouillon cubes

    boiling water
  • 1/4 c
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c
    half and half
  • 1/4 c
    all-purpose flour

How To Make cabbage patch chicken bundles

    Cook the cabbage leaves in boiling water to cover for 5 minutes or until tender; drain well, and set aside,.

    Place the chicken breasts between 2 sheets of wax paper. Flatten to 1/4-inch thickness, using a mallet or rolling pin. Brush the chicken with olive oil; sprinkle with salt, seasoning salt, and pepper.

    Place a chicken breast half on each cabbage leaf. Combine egg, swiss cheese, and mustard; stir well. Spoon the cheese mixture evenly in the center of each chicken breast half. Fold the ends of the cabbage over the chicken. Roll up cabbage and chicken, starting with the short end; secure with wooden picks.

    Brown the cabbage rolls in butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water. Add bouillon mixture, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until the chicken is done.

    Remove the cabbage rolls from the skillet, reserving the liquid in the skillet. Set cabbage rolls aside.

    Combine the half and half and flour. Stir well. Add the half and half mixture to the skillet; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is thickened and bubbly. Return the cabbage rolls to the skillet and cook until thoroughly heated. Remove the cabbage rolls to a serving platter with a slotted spoon; remove the wooden picks. Serve cabbage rolls with the sauce.
