This is such an easy recipe to make. Makes for an easy supper on a cold night with black-eyed peas!

Ingredients For buttermilk chicken

  • 1 1/2 c
    buttermilk
  • 3/4 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    butter or margarine
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 6 lg
    pieces of favorite chicken (light or dark meat)

How To Make buttermilk chicken

  • 1
    Dip chicken in buttermilk, then roll in flour, salt, & pepper mixed. Place chicken in dish with melted butter.
  • 2
    Bake @ 425 for 30 minutes, turn & bake 15 minutes more. Mix leftover buttermilk & soup & pour over chicken. Bake 15 minutes more.
