Ingredients For butter chicken

    olive oil
  • 2
    boneless skinless chicken cut into small chunks
  • 1 md
    onion diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    ginger grated
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1
    14 oz can diced tomatoes undrained
  • 2 tsp
    garam masala
  • 2 Tbsp
    tomato paste
  • 1 c
    plain greek yogurt room temp
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • basmati rice and naan for serving

How To Make butter chicken

  • 1
    Add the oil to a large skillet. Add the chicken and brown for 3 minutes. Remove to a plate and set aside. Add the onion and cook until softened. Add the garlic and ginger and cook 1 minute.

    Add the chili powder, and cinnamon. and cook 1 minute. Add the chicken back to the pan and add the tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring to a simmer and simmer until chicken is cooked. Reduce heat to low.

    Stir in the Garam Masala, yogurt, and cream. Stir and cook until warmed through. Serve with Basmati rice and naan
