4chicken thighs

8 ozshiitake mushrooms

2 Tbspsugar

1 tspsesame oil

4 clovegarlic minced

1 tspchinese 5 spice

1 Tbsprice wine

2 Tbspeach soy sauce and oyster sauce

1 tspdark soy sauce

1 1/2 tspcornstarch

1 Tbspgrated ginger

3scallions chopped

fresh cilantro chopped
How To Make braised chicken with shiitake mushrooms

1Mix the sugar, oil, 5 spice, rice wine, oyster sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and cornstarch. Pour over chicken and let marinate at least 2 hours to overnight.

2Add some oil to the skillet. Add the ginger and garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add the chicken and brown on both sides.Remove the chicken to a plate. Add the mushrooms and cook until browned.

3Add the chicken back to the skillet with any juices accumulated. Add water just enough to cover the chicken. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer about 15 to 20 minutes until chicken is done and sauce thickened.

4Garnish with scallions and cilantro
