This is my over the top brats sausage dog. It's topped with butter crab, fried celery and onion strings. You are going to go nuts over this one. It's so darn delicious! Cooking with passion, sw:)

    brats* i used johnsonville*
  • 5
    hot dog buns
  • 3
    celery stalks, thinly sliced
  • 1 slice
    onion, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 c
    breader *i used everglades*
  • 1/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 1 stick
    butter, unsalted
  • 1 lb
    crabmeat, fresh
  • 1 tsp
    seafood seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp
    horseradish mustard

    Grill brats according to package directions. Grill buns. Set aside and keep warm

    Meanwhile heat deep fryer to 350 degrees. Dip onion and celery slices in buttermilk then dredge in breader. Deep fry until golden brown. Remove from fryer and drain on paper towels

    Melt butter in a medium-high heated skillet. Add crab and seasoning to skillet. Spoon butter over crab for 2 minutes until crab is heated through.

    Spread mustard on buns then assemble brats, crab, onion & celery...enjoy! **spoon extra butter over crabmeat**
