This is an easy and tasty Chop Suey recipe that I've had for many years. I serve over rice and under a sprinkling of chow mein noodles for extra crunch.

Ingredients For beef chop suey

2 lbstew beef

1 1/2 conions, sliced thin

2 Tbspvegetable oil

1 1/2 ccelery, diced

3 Tbspsoy sauce

3 tspsugar

1 canmushrooms
-
1 canbean sprouts

1 canchop suey vegetables

1 Tbspcorn start

1/4 canwater
How To Make beef chop suey

1Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper and brown in oil. Add onions, celery, sugar, soy sauce and about 1 inch of water. Cook, covered until meat is tender.

2Add bean sprouts, vegetables and mushrooms. Combine cornstarch and cold water. Add to boiling mixture. Stir until thickened.
