This is such a beautiful dish! So good your company will talk about it long after the party is over. I took the recipe for my mom's pork tenderloin and turned it into this. It's good to fix any day of the week also.

Would this be great during the holidays? Absolutely! If you're cooking for a smaller crowd or don't want to serve turkey, this is something your guests will love. It makes a great weeknight meal too. The mix of cranberry sauce with the bbq sauce makes the chicken tangy and sweet. It's super easy to make, juicy and delicious!

Ingredients For beautiful holiday chicken

6bone-in split chicken breasts or 1 broiler fryer cut up (I remove the skin)

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tspblack pepper

4 Tbspbutter
-
1/2 cchopped onion
-
1/2 cthinly sliced celery
-
1 canwhole-berry cranberry sauce, 16 oz.

1 cregular or honey barbecue sauce
How To Make beautiful holiday chicken

1Salt and pepper the chicken. Melt butter in a large skillet and brown chicken on all sides. Transfer to a greased 9x13x2 baking dish.

2Saute onions and celery in the chicken and butter drippings until tender. Add cranberry and barbecue sauces. Mix well and cook 2-3 more minutes. Pour evenly over top of chicken.

3Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 1/2 hours or until chicken juices run clear. Spoon sauce over chicken every 15 minutes of baking time. Arrange chicken on a serving platter and pour sauce over all pieces.
