Been making this over and over, nice in the middle of the winter too!! Got the recipe from a friend and shared it many times. You will be amazed how it tastes, you would swear it came off the grill. Also great to make and take on a picnic ! Enjoy!

Ingredients For barbecued chicken on the stovetop

  • 1-2 lb
    whole fryer chicken, cut up
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    salad oil
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 c
    ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 c
    water

How To Make barbecued chicken on the stovetop

    In large skillet (I use my cast iron pan) over medium heat, stir 1/4 cup water and all ingredients except chicken, until well combined.

    Add chicken and cook 35 minutes turning occasionally until evenly browned and fork tender.
