I have in this recipe to use a whole cut up chicken but it also works great with boneless, skinless chicken breasts and thighs.

Ingredients For baked fried chicken

  • 2/3 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 pkg
    whole chicken, cut up
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, unsalted

How To Make baked fried chicken

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • 2
    Combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in medium bowl. Pour into ziploc baggie.

    In second medium bowl pour milk.
  • 4
    Place one or two pieces of chicken in the milk to coat then place in the ziploc baggie with flour mixture.

    Place in baking dish and repeat until with remaining chicken pieces.

    Melt butter and pour over entire chicken.

    Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until golden brown.
