Here's another recipe from the same Amish cookbook that the carrot cake came from. 'Baked Chicken Barbecue...one of my favorite dishes! This also makes a great barbecue sauce on its own. *Variation: Omit onion. Add 1/2 tsp. paprika and 1/4 tsp. hickory smoke seasoning to sauce.

1/4 cvinegar

3 Tbspbrown sugar

2 Tbspworcestershire sauce

1 tspdry mustard

1/4 tsppepper

1 1/2 tspsalt

juice of 1/4 lemon

1onion, diced* (see my notes)
How To Make baked chicken barbecue

1Preheat oven to 350 F.

2In a saucepan combine all ingredients except chicken; bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

3Spoon sauce over chickens in a 9- X 13-inch baking dish; add 1/3 cup of water.

4Bake, uncovered, in the preheated oven for 2 hours, basting occasionally.
