We were excited to try these handmade chicken patties. They're a tasty twist on chicken Parmesan. After cooking in the air fryer, the chicken patties have a crunchy crust and a tender, juicy inside. Sauce and mozzarella cheese add to the chicken Parmesan flavors. We shaped them like a chicken breast to see if anyone in the Test Kitchen realized they were made with ground chicken. No one could tell the difference. An easy air fryer recipe to throw together after a hectic day.

1 lbground chicken

1/2 c+ 2 Tbsp Italian bread crumbs (divided use)

3/4 cgrated Parmesan cheese (divided use)

1/2 cchopped fresh parsley (or 1-2 Tbsp dried)

1/4 cplain yogurt

1egg
-
2-3 tspminced garlic

1 tspsalt

cooking spray

14 oz jarpizza sauce

3/4 cshredded mozzarella cheese
How To Make air fryer quick chicken parmesan

1Preheat your air fry oven to 400 degrees.

2In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with 1/2 cup of the bread crumbs, 1/2 cup of the Parmesan, the parsley, yogurt, egg, garlic, and salt. Stir to combine.

3Line your fryer pan with parchment paper. Form the chicken mixture into four half-inch thick patties, and place them on the paper. Sprinkle with remaining bread crumbs, and press lightly to set. Spray with cooking spray.

4Bake patties in the air fryer oven for 12-14 minutes, until fully cooked.

5Remove the pan from the air fryer and top each patty with 3 Tbsp of pizza sauce, 3 Tbsp of mozzarella cheese, and the remaining Parmesan cheese. Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, until the cheese has melted.

6Serve with the remaining sauce (warmed in the microwave) on the side.
