Ingredients For adobo chicken

1 Tbspoil

4bone in chicken thighs

1 lgonion chopped

3 clovegarlic minced

3 Tbspeach soy sauce and water

2 Tbspwhite vinegar

4 Tbsphoney

1bay leaf

salt and pepper to taste

3 ccooked long grain rice

cilantro minced for garnish
How To Make adobo chicken

1Place a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the oil and get it hot. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Add to the oil skin side down. Cook until the skin is golden brown. Turn and cook until browned on the other side. about 5 minutes per side. Remove chicken to a plate and set aside.

2Add the onions and garli to the pan. Cook until the onions are translucent. Return the chicken to the pan skin side up.

3Add the soy sauce, water, vinegar, honey and bay leaf. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover and cook 12 minutes. Remove lid and cook another 20 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is no longer pink.

4Serve over rice and garnish wtih cilantro
