I created a ninth recipe for tiger sauce. A pizza casserole is about to meet tiger sauce as a special ingredient... and it's super good!

Ingredients For tiger pizza casserole

  • 1 Tbsp
    avocado oil
  • 1 lb
    sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 jar
    pizza sauce (26 oz.)
  • 4 tsp
    Italian seasoning, divided
  • 2 1/2 c
    tiger sauce, divided
  • 1 md
    vidalia sweet onion, peeled and chopped
  • 4
    jalapenos, seeded and chopped
  • 2
    banana peppers, chopped
  • 3/4 c
    sliced black olives
  • 15
    pepperoni slices, chopped
  • 16 oz
    dry rigatoni pasta
  • 3 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 3 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 2 c
    half and half
  • 2 c
    shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 3/4 c
    grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    black pepper
  • 1 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese

    pepperoni slices

How To Make tiger pizza casserole

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Coat a 13-x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

    Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and minced garlic. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until the sausage crumbles and is no longer pink.

    Remove with a slotted spoon; reserving drippings in skillet. Drain sausage mixture on paper towels and transfer to a medium bowl. Add pizza sauce, 2 tsp Italian seasoning and 1 cup tiger sauce into sausage mixture; stir well. Set aside.

    Saute chopped vidalia onion, jalapenos and banana peppers in sausage drippings for 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in sliced olives and chopped pepperoni. Reserve 3/4 cup onion mixture.

    Cook rigatoni pasta according to package directions; drain. Transfer into a large bowl.

    Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over low heat; whisk in flour until smooth. Cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute.

    Gradually whisk in heavy cream and half and half; cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, 7 to 10 minutes or until mixture is thickened and bubbly.

    Stir in monterey jack and Parmesan cheese, black pepper, 1 cup tiger sauce and remaining Italian seasoning. Pour the sauce over the pasta in a large bowl, stirring to coat. Stir in the onion mixture.

    Transfer the pasta mixture to a lightly greased baking dish. Top with sausage mixture, shredded mozzarella cheese, reserved 3/4 cup onion mixture and pepperoni slices. Drizzle with remaining tiger sauce.

    Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly browned. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
