Garnish with the same things you would for tacos. This is really good, my hubby, John, cleaned out the pan!

Ingredients For taco casserole

  • 1 lb
    hamburger
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 8 oz
    taco sauce
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 4 oz
    diced green chilies
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 12
    whole corn taco shells, white or corn
  • 8 oz
    shredded cheddar

How To Make taco casserole

  • 1
    Oven to 375 degrees. Grease 11x7 baking dish. Cook beef and onion until done, drain, add seasoning, sauce, water and chilies. Cook 3-4 min. Layer half broken taco shells in bottom of pan, half meat, half cheese. Repeat layers. Bake 20-25 min until bubbly and cheese is melted.
