I created a brand new burger casserole recipe combining a bacon burger with the topping of a Seattle hot dog. It is so delicious.

    frozen jalapeno poppers, thawed and sliced
  • 16 oz
    uncooked penne pasta
  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp
    steak seasoning
  • 5
    fresh jalapenos, sliced
  • 3 tsp
    steak sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey mustard
  • 1
    packet dry onion soup mix
  • 8 slice
    bacon, cut into pieces
  • 1 lg
    vidalia onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 16 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 4 Tbsp
    grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz
    Monterey jack cheese, shredded

How To Make seattle bacon burger casserole

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add the sliced jalapeno poppers.

    Cook the penne pasta according to package directions; drain.

    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and sliced jalapenos, season with sthe teak seasoning and cook for 8 minutes until the meat is browned. Drain any excess fat.

    Stir in steak sauce, honey mustard, and dry onion soup mix and set aside.

    Place the bacon pieces into a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes, until evenly browned.

    Remove the bacon pieces from the saucepan with a slotted spoon. Transfer into a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.

    Melt the margarine and bacon drippings together over medium heat. Add the sliced vidalia onion and saute for 5 minutes until translucent. Whisk in the flour, stirring frequently until the mixture forms a smooth paste.

    Whisk in the milk and heavy cream, bring the mixture to a simmer, whisking constantly until thickened. Stir in cream cheese and Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce is smooth and thick.

    Stir in the cooked penne pasta and beef and jalapeno mixture into the sauce, then lightly mix in the cooked bacon pieces. Pour into a prepared baking dish and sprinkle with shredded monterey jack cheese on top.

    Bake in the preheated oven,about 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes.
