This is an easy meal. I take it to reunions and never come home with any. Many ask for the recipe. Try it if you like sauerkraut.

Ingredients For sauerkraut & meatballs

  • 1 lb
    ground sirloin
  • 1 lb
    bob evans orig. sausage
  • 1/2 c
    minute rice
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1 md
    onion chopped small
  • 1 bag
    sauerkraut
  • salt & pepper to taste

How To Make sauerkraut & meatballs

  • 1
    Mix all ingredients, except sauerkraut. Make into meatballs 1 1/2 to 2" round. Set aside.

    In a crockpot, place 1 bag of kraut (rinsed, its always salty). Put the crock pot on low.

    Add the meatballs on top of kraut and cover. Let cook for six to eight hours, on low.
