My sweet Mother made this delicious quick and easy casserole for our family. Growing up my sister and I loved this meal. To this day it is still a favorite in our family. It’s great with hot rolls and tall glass of sweet tea.

Ingredients For moms hamburger pie

  • 1 lb
    ground chuck
  • 1 sm
    chopped onion
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 1 pinch
    black pepper
  • 1 can
    french style green beans drained
  • 1 can
    tomato soup
  • 2 c
    mashed potato’s

How To Make moms hamburger pie

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Use a deep square casserole dish.
  • 2
    Cook ground chuck with onions in skillet until done. Drain grease. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add to casserole dish.

    Layer well drained green beans on top of meat and onions
  • 4
    Spoon tomato soup on top of green beans and spread evenly.

    Scoop prepared mashed potatoes on top of soup. You can use instant or homemade. I use the Bob Evans brand original mashed potatoes in the cooler section at the grocery store.

    Bake for 45 minutes or until soup is bubbly and potatoes peaks are golden.
  • Mom’s Hamburger Pie Right out of the oven.
