Ingredients For meatballs in the shell

  • 3-4 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 md
    carton ricotta cheese, or cottage cheese if prefered
  • 1 pkg
    frozen, chopped spinach, thawed & drained
  • 1 pkg
    jumbo pasta shells, cooked and drained
  • 1 lg
    good quality marinara sauce from a jar
  • 1
    frozen italian style meatball per shell, costco ones work great.
  • a sprinkle of salt, pepper and some penseys old world seasoning make it great!

How To Make meatballs in the shell

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour the marinara sauce over the bottom of a glass casserole dish.

    Combine cheeses, seasonings and cooked spinach. Stuff into the shells, push one meatball into each shell. Arrange in the baking dish.

    Cover and bake for about 30 minutes or until heated through. Yield: 12 - 14 servings
