From Ma's recipe box we found in NC in July 2019. Love lasagna, only would layer cheese over meat and end with cheese

Ingredients For lasagna, ma's

  • 3/4 lb
    hamburger
  • 3/4 lb
    mild italian sausage
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    basil
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 20 oz
    can tomatoes
  • 6 oz
    tomato paste
  • 10 oz
    lasagna noodles
  • 24 oz
    cottage cheese
  • 2
    beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    parsley
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan
  • 1 lb
    mozzarella

How To Make lasagna, ma's

  • 1
    Brown meats, add garlic salt, 1 T parsley flakes, basil, oregano, 1/2 t salt, tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer 1 hour until thickened, uncovered. Stir once.

    Cook noodles and rinse in cold water. Need 9x13. Layer in followin order: Noodles/cottage cheese/mozzarella/meat. Repeat.

    375 degrees for 30 min
