What if honey margarine and chicken nuggets were combined in a delicious casserole recipe? I created this recipe to answer that question. It's so good with a side salad and dinner rolls. Smear more honey margarine on the rolls.

    margarine
  • 3/4 c
    honey
  • CASSEROLE
  • 8 oz
    uncooked bow tie pasta
  • 1 Tbsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    avocado oil
  • 1 pkg
    frozen all-white meat chicken nuggets
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic and herb seasoning
  • 3 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    creole seasoning
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1
    packet dry onion soup mix
  • 8 oz
    extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make honey margarine chicken nugget casserole

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 11-by-8" baking dish with cooking spray.

    To make the honey margarine, whisk the margarine and honey together in a small bowl for 2 minutes or until smooth.

    To make the casserole, cook the bow tie pasta according to package directions; Drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Add 2 Tbsp honey margarine and the red pepper flakes; mix well until blended. Set aside.

    Heat 2 Tbsp honey margarine and the avocado oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

    Add the chicken nuggets and cook 5 minutes until tender. Reduce to low heat and stir in garlic and herb seasoning, black pepper, garlic powder and creole seasoning.

    Remove from heat. Set aside.

    In a medium bowl, combine the heavy cream, dry onion soup mix, cream cheese and remaining honey margarine; whisk well until blended.

    Add cooked pasta and honey margarine cream mixture into the chicken nugget mixture; stir well.

    Spoon into the prepared baking dish evenly. Sprinkle with shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese.

    Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
