1 1/2 lblean ground beef

ground himalayan sea salt, to taste and divided

freshly ground black pepper, to taste and divided (i always use mixed peppercorns)

1/2 cred onions, finely chopped

2 lgcloves garlic, pressed

2 Tbspketchup
-
1 Tbsptomato paste
-
1 Tbspprepared mustard
-
1/2 Tbsphot sauce, such as cholula®
-
1/2 Tbsptaco seasoning
-
2 cuncooked elbow macaroni
-
3 clow-sodium beef broth
-
1 clight sour cream
-
2 csharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 Tbspfresh parsley, chopped
How To Make hamburger helper copycat

1In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add beef and break it down into small pieces; season with salt and pepper. When half way cooked, add onions and continue cooking until meat is no longer pink and onions are softened, about 2 ½ to 3 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

2Add ketchup, tomato paste, mustard, hot sauce, taco seasoning, and re-season with salt and freshly ground black pepper; stir well. Add macaroni and pour in broth; stir well. Bring to a boil then reduce to medium-low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until macaroni is cooked through.

3Add sour cream and stir well. Add cheese and stir until melted. Sprinkle on some chopped parsley and serve immediately. Serves 4
