This is a long time family favorite that my husband, a very picky eater, learned to love and asked to make often. The original recipe asked for a lot more of the seasoned salt (3/4 tablespoons), but I have learned less is better. It is fast, easy and delicious.

Ingredients For crunchy beef casserole

  • 2 c
    small shell pasta
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 3/4 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 lg
    can diced tomatoes
  • 3/4 c
    diced green pepper
  • 1 can
    french fried onions

How To Make crunchy beef casserole

  • 1
    Brown the ground beef. Prepare pasta as package directions specify, omitting salt.

    In large bowl, add cooked pasta, browned ground beef, cheese, soup, green pepper, tomatoes and seasoned salt. Mix together.

    Place mixture in a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, covered.
  • 4
    Uncover and sprinkle French fried onions over the top. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
