You're gonna be crazy about this new chicken nugget casserole recipe. It's inspired by In N Out's Animal Style Fries, and this casserole includes rigatoni pasta, honey mustard sauteed onions, white American cheese and the sauce will be so crazy!

Ingredients For crazy style chicken nugget casserole

  • CASSEROLE
  • 16 oz
    uncooked rigatoni pasta
  • 6 Tbsp
    ranch seasoning, divided
  • 2 Tbsp
    avocado oil, divided
  • 1 Tbsp
    dark brown sugar
  • 1 lg
    vidalia sweet onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey mustard
  • 1 pkg
    frozen all white meat chicken nuggets
  • 6
    white American cheese slices, unwrapped and cut in half
  • CRAZY STYLE SAUCE
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 c
    brown sugar barbecue sauce
  • 4 tsp
    pickled jalapeno liquid
  • 3/4 c
    creamy wing sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 c
    chopped pickled jalapenos
  • 1 Tbsp
    sea salt mixed with black pepper

How To Make crazy style chicken nugget casserole

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

    Cook rigatoni according to package directions; drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Add 3 tablespoons ranch seasoning; mix well and set aside.

    Heat 1 tablespoon avocado oil and brown sugar in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add chopped vidalia onion and saute for 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in honey mustard until mixed. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Heat remaining avocado oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add chicken nuggets and cook for 8 minutes. Season with remaining ranch seasoning.

    Reduced to low heat; add cooked rigatoni and mix well for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.

    To make Crazy Style Sauce, combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk together for 2 minutes until blended.

    Add chicken nugget/pasta mixture to a casserole dish. Spoon crazy style sauce onto chicken nugget/pasta mixture evenly.

    Add honey mustard sauteed onions. Place white American cheese triangles on top.

    Bake for 25 minutes or until the casserole is set. Cool completely for 10 minutes.
