A form of this recipe has been in my family since I was a young girl and has always been a favorite. Since I have been making it, I have tweaked it some for my family's taste. It is very filling and a wonderful spin on a Chinese meal.

Ingredients For chinese casserole

1 1/2 lbground beef

1 mdonion

1 ccelery
-
2 cinstant rice
-
2 cancream of mushroom soup

2 cwater
-
1 canmushrooms
-
1 canwater chestnuts

1 canbean sprouts

1/4 csoy sauce
-
1/2 bagchow mein noodles
How To Make chinese casserole

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 casserole dish

2Brown ground beef, onion, and celery together. Drain well

3Put Instant Rice in the bottom of the prepared dish. Add Soup, Water, Mushrooms, Water Chestnuts, Bean Sprouts, and Soy Sauce. Stir to combine well.

4Add browned meat, onions and celery to rice mixture. Stir in well. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 45 minutes. Remove foil and top with Chow Mein Noodles. Bake for an extra 15 minutes.
