This new chicken nugget casserole recipe I created is in the style of chicken cordon bleu. It's great with side of garden salad and a piece of French bread.

Ingredients For chicken nugget cordon bleu casserole

1 ccrumbled blue cheese

12almonds, chopped
-
1 lbcavatappi pasta
-
2 pkgfrozen (all white meat) chicken nuggets

8 ozcooked ham, cubed
-
8 ozswiss cheese, cubed
-
1 cancream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)

3/4 cheavy cream
-
1 cwhole milk
-
1packet Italian salad dressing mix
-
2 Tbspmargarine
-
3/4 cpanko bread crumbs
-
1/2 cgrated Parmesan cheese
How To Make chicken nugget cordon bleu casserole

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Lightly coat the bottom and sides of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Add crumbled blue cheese and chopped almonds; mix well.

3Cook cavatappi pasta according to package directions; drain. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.

4Top with chicken nuggets, cubed ham and cubed Swiss cheese.

5Mix soup, heavy cream, milk and Italian salad dressing mix in a medium bowl for 3 minutes until combined.

6Spoon over cavatappi pasta mixture in the baking dish.

7Melt margarine in a medium skillet over medium heat; cook and stir the bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese in hot margarine until the crumbs are well coated for 3 minutes.

8Sprinkle over the casserole and spread evenly.

9Bake for 30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbling and lightly browned. Cool completely for 6 minutes.
