I temporarily lost this recipe, so you will see mine posted in JAP too. However, this one of Mom's is hands down my favorite!

Ingredients For cheesy ham casserole, mom's

  • 10 oz
    french cut green beans, frozen
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 4 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    cooked ham, chopped
  • 4 oz
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    herb croutons, crushed

How To Make cheesy ham casserole, mom's

  • 1
    Cook beans to package directions, drain and reserve 1/2 c liquid. Melt butter, saute onion. Stir in flour and salt until blended. Remove from heat, stir in milk and reserved liquid. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil 1 min. Remove from heat, stir in ham, cheese and parsley. Place beans in a casserole dish and cover with ham. Sprinkle with croutons. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min.
