I created this new duck recipe, in the style of a cheesy casserole.

Ingredients For cheesy duck casserole

1 ccubed American cheese

1 ccrushed cheese sandwich crackers

3/4 cgrated Parmesan cheese

1 Tbspolive oil

5duck breasts (skin-on), sliced thick

3banana peppers, sliced

3 Tbspcheddar cheese seasoning, divided

1packet dry onion soup mix
-
2 1/2 tspground cumin
-
1 ccold heavy cream
-
1 can(10.5 ounce) condensed cheddar cheese soup
-
1 can(10.5 ounce) condensed cream of mushroom soup
-
8 ozcream cheese, softened
-
1 cpanko bread crumbs
-
2 Tbspmelted margarine
-
8 ozsharp cheddar cheese, shredded
How To Make cheesy duck casserole

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

2Coat a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add cubed American cheese and crushed cheese sandwich crackers; mix well. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

3Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium high heat. Add sliced duck breasts and sliced banana peppers. Saute for 6 minutes or until the duck is tender.

4Season with 1 tablespoon cheddar cheese seasoning, onion soup mix and ground cumin; stir well. Reduce to low heat.

5In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, soups, cream cheese and 1 tablespoon cheddar cheese seasoning, whisking together until blended.

6Pour onto a duck mixture and stir together until combined. Remove from heat.

7Spoon into a prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

8In a small bowl, combine bread crumbs, melted margarine and remaining cheddar cheese seasoning, mix well with a fork. Set aside.

9Sprinkle shredded sharp cheddar cheese and bread crumb mixture onto the casserole.

10Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely for 10 minutes.
