    low-sodium chicken brith
  • 1 can
    condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tsp
    Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/4 c
    long grain white rice
  • 1 c
    frozen peas
  • 1 1/2 lb
    boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese

How To Make cheesy chicken and rice casserole

    Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease or spray a 9×13-inch casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.

    Whisk the chicken broth, condensed cream of chicken soup, Italian seasoning, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and freshly ground black pepper in the dish.

    Add the rice, peas, and cubed chicken and stir to combine. Cover the casserole tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 50 minutes or until the rice is tender.

    Sprinkle the top with cheddar cheese and put it back in the oven uncovered for 10 minutes or until the cheese melts. Put the aluminum foil back over the casserole loosely and let it rest for 10 minutes.
