baked ravioli and cheese - decadent

This dish is very easy and so delicious. It tastes like the most decadent mac and cheese you have ever had. The top should be brown and a little crusty from the cheeses. You can add variations such as basil or mustard or spinach in the sauce or the layers. Change it up with some ground chicken for more protein. These are ingredients you might have already and it really isn't fussy. No need to cook the ravioli if you use the frozen variety. ENJOY!

  • 1 bag
    frozen ravioli thawed in fridge
  • SPRITZ
    spray oil
  • 2 c
    cottage cheese
  • 1 c
    half and half (or milk)
  • 2 c
    sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/4 tsp
    sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

    SPRAY A CASSEROLE PAN (8X10) DEEPER ONES ALLOW FOR MORE LAYERS

    MIX COTTAGE CHEESE, MILK AND EGG, POUR A THIN LAYER INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN.

    ADD 1 CUP OF CHEDDAR CHEESE AND 1/2 CUP OF THE PARMESAN CHEESE TO THE MILK MIXTURE

    PLACE ONE LAYER OF THE THAWED RAVIOLI, POUR A LAYER OF MILK/CHEESE MIXTURE, REPEAT LAYERS.

    ADD A FINAL LAYER OF THE REMAINING CHEDDAR AND PARMESAN CHEESES ON THE TOP.

    BAKE UNCOVERED AT 350 FOR 45 MINUTES UNTIL BROWN ON THE TOP. (DEPENDING ON YOUR OVEN)
