This new duck casserole recipe I created is in an American style. There's a diced hash brown mixture on the bottom and a barbecue duck mixture on top with cheese.

Ingredients For american duck casserole

1 bagfrozen diced hash brown potatoes, thawed

1 csliced black olives

1 cgrated asiago cheese
-
2 Tbspranch dressing mix
-
3/4 cwhipped cream cheese

1 choney barbecue sauce
-
1/2 cDijon mustard mixed with brown sugar
-
1 Tbspcrushed red pepper flakes
-
1/2 cteriyaki sauce
-
1 Tbspavocado oil
-
4duck breasts (skin-on), sliced
-
2 tspground cumin
-
1 Tbspcreole seasoning
-
1 tspground black pepper
-
1packet dry onion soup mix
-
1 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 mdcarrot, chopped
-
3banana peppers, sliced
-
8 ozmonterey jack cheese, shredded
How To Make american duck casserole

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Coat the bottom and sides of a 9x13 -inch baking dish with cooking spray.

3Add thawed diced hash brown potatoes, sliced black olives, grated asiago cheese, ranch dressing mix and whipped cream cheese; mix well with a fork.

4In a medium bowl, combine barbecue sauce, Dijon mustard/brown sugar, crushed red pepper flakes and teriyaki sauce; whisk together for 3 minutes or until blended. Set aside.

5Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add sliced duck breasts. Cook and saute for 6 minutes until the duck are browned and well done.

6Season with ground cumin, creole seasoning, black pepper, dry onion soup mix and minced garlic; mix well.

7Reduced to low heat. Stir in chopped carrots, sliced banana peppers and barbecue sauce mixture. Let it simmer for 4 minutes until blended and cooked. Remove from heat.

8Pour into a prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with shredded monterey jack cheese.

9Bake for 30 minutes or until are golden brown.
