This new stew meat recipe I created is a casserole and in the style of a chicken caesar, filled with fusilli pasta, bacon, two sharp cheddar cheeses, sauteed mushrooms and a spicy creamy caesar sauce.

  • 1 c
    crumbled cooked bacon
  • 3 Tbsp
    grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb
    dry fusilli pasta
  • 2 Tbsp
    avocado oil
  • 2 lb
    beef stew meat
  • 5
    fresh white mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 3/4 c
    regular caesar dressing
  • 1 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1 bottle
    creamy caesar dressing
  • 2 Tbsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 c
    shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese

How To Make beef caesar casserole with fusilli pasta

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

    Coat a 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add crumbled bacon and grated Parmesan cheese; mix well.

    Cook fusilli pasta according to package directions; drain.

    Heat avocado oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef stew meat and sliced white mushrooms. Cook and saute for 6 minutes until the beef is well done and the mushrooms are tender.

    Stir in steak seasoning, garlic powder and regular caesar dressing. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

    Combine heavy cream, cream cheese, milk, creamy caesar dressing, crushed red pepper flakes and chili powder; whisk together and simmer for 8 minutes until thickened.

    Add cooked fusilli pasta and beef/mushroom mixture; mix well until combined. Remove from heat.

    Spoon into a prepared baking dish evenly. Sprinkle with shredded sharp and extra sharp cheese.

    Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted.
