yummy almost gourmet burgers
These burgers are a family favorite and the topping (condiments) all just blend together so well. Of course, you can opt to add more toppings or use the cheese you love. This combo just works well for us. Also, as you can see from some of my other recipes I am a fan of shallots, but onions can be used too. Add chips and a half sour pickle slice and this is burger heaven. Enjoy!

How To Make yummy almost gourmet burgers
-
1Set ground sirloin out about 1/2 hour before cooking to bring to room temperature. Mix sirloin with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and 1/4 teaspoon of butcher block pepper. Shape into 6 patties. Set aside.
-
2Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet and brown sliced mushrooms until cooked through and set aside.
-
3Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in same skillet add shallots and 1 teaspoon of sugar and cook on low until shallots are cooked and caramelized. Remove from skillet and set aside.
-
4Now add the 6 burgers to the same skillet and cook until browned and cooked through flipping often.
-
5While burgers are cooking mix the mayo, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and pepper together in a small bowl. Set aside.
-
6Assemble in the skillet: When the burgers are done turn heat to very low and top each burger with caramelized shallots, mushrooms and top with you favorite cheese. Put a lid on the skillet just for a minute or so or until the cheese has melted over the burger.
-
7Place a burger on a bun, top with mayo sauce and serve with chips and pickles or your favorite sides.
