This is to make one big burger! This was a semi-finalist in the Bud & Burgers competition so you know its gotta be good!

Ingredients For the "beautiful mess" brat burger

  • 2
    brats, uncooked and taken out of casing
  • 1/4 c
    chili, no beans
  • CARAMELIZED ONIONS
  • 1/4
    onion, 1/8in thick slices
  • 1 tsp
    oil
  • 1 tsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    beer
  • MUSTARD AIOLI
  • 1 Tbsp
    mayo
  • 1 tsp
    deli mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • dash
    salt and pepper
  • 1 slice
    munster cheese
  • 1
    french style bun

How To Make the "beautiful mess" brat burger

  • 1
    Remove brats from casing and form into a patty. Set aside.
  • 2
    Combine all aioli ingredients and set aside.
  • 3
    In a saute pan combine onions, oil and butter. Cook until turned golden, add in beer and keep cooking until all liquid from beer has been soaked up.

    Heat up chili.
  • 5
    Take brat patty and place in a saute pan with a little oil. Cook on each side for about 8 minutes.

    To assemble burger: bottom bun, burger, cheese, chili, onions, mustard aioli.
