My mom was always trying to find a new way to cook ground meat when we were growing up. This is one of her concoctions. Pretty tasty when cooked on the grill!

Ingredients For mama's italian burgers

1 lbground beef

1 lgonion, diced small

1 tspgarlic powder

2tablespoons each: bread crumbs, dried parsley

1teaspoon each: salt and pepper

2 tspdried basil

1teaspoons each: dried oregano, rosemary

4toasted hamburger buns

4slices of mozzarella cheese

4slices of tomatoes

4lettuce leaves

ketchup, mustard, pickles
How To Make mama's italian burgers

1Mix ground beef with onion, garlic powder, bread crumbs, parsley, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, and rosemary.

2Form into 4 patties.

3I think these are best when cooked on the grill, about 4 minutes a side. They may also be pan fried.

4Place burgers on buns. Top with cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. Serve with ketchup, mustard and pickles.
