Ingredients For greek turkey burgers with spiced yogurt sauce

  • 1 lb
    ground turkey (i use the thigh mead, not as dry as the breast when cooked)
  • 1/2 c
    feta cheese crumbles
  • 2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil
  • 1/4 c
    plain yogurt
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cumin (or to taste)
  • salt, to taste
  • 4
    hamburger buns, toasted (i use whole-wheat)
  • lettuce, tomato slices and cucumber slices, for topping (optional)

How To Make greek turkey burgers with spiced yogurt sauce

  • 1
    In a large bowl, combine turkey, feta, oregano, thyme and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Shape into 4 patties.

    Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet on medium heat until hot. Add the patties and cook 5 minutes per side, or until burgers are cooked through.

    Season yogurt to taste with cumin, salt and remaining pepper.

    Serve the burgers on the buns and top each with 1 tablespoon of the yogurt mixture. Garnish with toppings, if desired.
