Ingredients For frankenburger

1 mdonion chopped

1 1/2 tspchili powder divided

2 Tbspbutter

110 3/4 oz can tomato soup

1 Tbspbrown sugar

1 tspeach salt and cider vinegar

1 1/2 lbground beef
-
6hot dogs split lengthwise
-
12hot dog buns
-
pickle slices for serving

6 slicecheese cut in half

How To Make frankenburger

1In a saucepan saute the onion with half the chili powder and butter until onion is tender. Add 2/3 of the soup, brown sugar, and vinegar. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.

2Meanwhile in a large bowl combine the salt, remaining chili powder and remaining tomato soup. Mix in the ground beef and shape into 12 patties. Press a hot dog into the middle of each patty.

3Place the patties hot dog side down in skillet and cook flipping until the hamburger is no longer pink. Place a half slice of cheese on each hot dog let melt a bit.

4Serve in bun with sauce over top and top with condiments of choice
