onions, sliced

bell peppers, red and yellow strips

shredded mozzarella cheese

2 Tbspred wine vinegar

6-8hoagie type sandwich rolls, split and warmed

16 oztomato sauce
-
1/3 cgrated parmesan cheese

1/2 cbread crumbs
-
1 lbground turkey
-
1 lbground beef
-
1/4 cchopped onion
-
2minced garlic cloves
-
1/4 tspred pepper, crushed

1/2 tspitalian seasoning
-
1/2 tspsalt

How To Make zesty meatball sandwiches-crock pot

1In a large bowl, beat egg with salt, italian seasoning, red pepper flakes and garlic.

2Add chopped onion, beef, turkey, bread crumbs and parmesan cheese; mix well.

3Shape mixture into 1 inch balls and brown in a large skillet.

4Drain meatballs and transfer to a 5 quart crockpot.

5In the same bowl, mix tomato sauce and wine; pour over meatballs.

6Cover and cook on low for 5 1/2 to 6 hours.

7To serve: place 3 to 4 meatballs in each split roll; top with sauce from crockpot.

8If desired add condiments and serve.
