My crockpot is my friend! This easy to make recipe is truly delicious. You can add additional veggies you love. Thicken the left over juice for a lovely gravy if you like.

Ingredients For yummy pot roast

  • 2 lb
    beef chuck roast
  • 1 md
    package of red potatoes
  • 1 lb
    organic carrots
  • 1/2
    bulb of garlic
  • 1 qt
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    beef base
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sprig
    rosemary
  • 2
    quartered onions

How To Make yummy pot roast

    Gather all ingredients.
  • 2
    Put a crockpot liner into crockpot.
  • 3
    Half red potatoes and put into crockpot.
  • 4
    Add whole carrots to crockpot.
  • 5
    Add 2 quartered onions to crockpot.

    Place pot roast on top of veggies. Salt & pepper to taste.

    Boil 1 quart of water on the stove.

    Add two tablespoons of beef base. Dissolve base in water.

    Add the beef base to the crockpot. You can use beef stock instead of beef base but make it a really good stock.

    Add one sprig of Rosemary.

    Set crockpot to low and cook 6-8 hours.
