White Castle hamburgers have been around forever in Illinois. These are the best. I don't remember where I found this recipe but whenever I make them nobody can believe they are not the real thing. Enjoy

Ingredients For white castles hamburgers

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    egg
  • 12 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 pkg
    lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 pkg
    pepperidge farm small dinner rolls
  • 4 slice
    american cheese(optional) cut to size

How To Make white castles hamburgers

  • 1
    Mix all but rolls into jelly roll pan.

    Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 mins.

    Place top of buns on top and cut to size.

    Put sandwiches together and garnish with brown mustard pickle and cheese if desired.

    Wrap individual sandwiches in paper towel and microwave for about one minute to melt cheese and blend flavors. This last step is important.
