On LI, New York..there is a hamburger fast food restaurant named Wendy's, that makes the absolute BEST Chili!! Many years ago, a local radio station gave out the recipe, and this is it!! I make it all the time, I am truly addicted to it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Ingredients For wendy's chili

2 lbground beef

129 oz can of tomato sauce

129 oz can of pinto beans with liquid

129 oz can of red kidney beans with liquid

1 conion, diced
-
2green chilis, diced
-
1celery stalk, diced
-
3medium tomatoes, chopped
-
2 tspcumin powder
-
3 Tbspchili powder
-
1 1/2 tspblack pepper
-
2 tspsalt
-
2 cwater
How To Make wendy's chili

1Brown ground beef in a large skillet, drain well, and crumble beef with a fork.

2In a large saucepot, combine beef, and all ingredients in order listed.

3Bring to a simmer, and cook, uncovered, stirring every 15 minutes, for 2-3 hours. When chili is done, spoon into bowls and top with diced onion, shredded cheddar cheese, or sour cream, as desired.
