I love Stuffed Cabbage Rolls. This casserole is just as scrumptious but with less work!!!! This dish freezes well also.

Ingredients For unstuffed cabbage

1 lbground beef

1/2 conion, chopped

1 clovegarlic, put through press

16 oztomato sauce

1 tspsalt

1/4 tspthyme
-
1/4 tspblack pepper

4 ccabbage, shredded, shred finely

8 ozromano cheese, grated

8 ozmozzarella cheese, shredded
How To Make unstuffed cabbage

1Grease large casserole dish. Steam cabbage to wilt. Saute beef, drain off fat. Return to skillet and add onion. Heat until onion is tender.

2Add garlic, tomato sauce, salt, thyme and pepper to mixture. Heat thoroughly.

3Place part of cabbage in greased casserole; cover with part of meat sauce; cover this with mixture of cheeses.

4Continue to layer until all mixture is used. Top with cheese.

5Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
