Ingredients For tomato-french bread lasagna

1 lbground beef

1/3 cgrated parmesan cheese

1.5 cmilk

3 Tbspflour

3 Tbspbutter

2 tspolive oil, divided

1/2 tsppepper

3/4 tspsalt

1 tspgarlic powder

1 tsprosemary

1 tsporegano
-
1 tspparsley

1 tspbasil

4 lgtomatoes, sliced

14 slicefrench bread
-
2minced garlic cloves
-
1/3 cchopped celery
-
1/3 cchopped onion
-
8 ozshredded mozzarella cheese
How To Make tomato-french bread lasagna

1In a skillet, brown beef, onion, celery and garlic; drain and set aside.

2Toast bread; line the bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking dish with 10 slices.

3Top with half of the meat mixture and half of the tomatoes.

4Combine seasonings; sprinkle half over tomatoes.

5Drizzle with 1 teaspoon oil.

6Crumble remaining bread over top.

7Repeat layers of meat, tomatoes and seasonings and oil.

8In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter; stir in flour until smooth.

9Gradually stir in milk; bring to boil.

10Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, about 2 minutes.

11Remove from heat; stir in parmesan.

12Pour over casserole.

13Top with mozzarella.

14Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is golden brown.
