" the spice is right " chili

I love chili,but some are just too spicy and then there are some that are way too mild. So I wanted to try to come up with one that had the right amount of spice, and I think " The Spice is Right " with this one.If you try this I sure hope you enjoy it.Posted to Just A Pinch on August 9th.,2011.

Ingredients For " the spice is right " chili
-
1 lbground beef
-
1/2 to 3/4 cfinely chopped sweet onion
-
1 tspseasoned salt
-
1 14.5 oz. canof hunt's seasoned diced tomatoes for chili
-
2 15.5 oz canpinto beans, drain one can
- CHILI SEASONING

1 Tbspwhite flour
-
1 1/2 tspchili powder
-
1/2 tspeach of crushed red pepper flakes and sugar

2 Tbspdried onions
-
1 tspseasoned salt
-
1/2 tspeach of dried garlic and ground cumin
How To Make " the spice is right " chili

1In a large dutch oven over medium heat,add ground beef,onion,and seasoned salt.

2Cook until beef is browned and onion is tender.

3After returning beef to pan,add tomatoes,beans, and chili seasonings.

4Stir well to combine ingredients and reduce heat to simmer.The longer the chili simmers the better the flavor.
