Everyone loves cheesesteaks, and there are many options and many ways of making them. Well this is one I had been thinking of doing for a while, and my family just loved it, so it's a keeper and going to be going onto our table quite often.

Ingredients For texas cheese steak sandwich

  • 1-2 lb
    ribeye or sirloin
  • 1
    poblano or ahaheim pepper, sliced
  • 1
    sweet onion, sliced
  • 4-8 slice
    asadero cheese, or your fav mexican cheese
  • 1 lg
    ciabatta or burger buns
  • granulated garlic and black pepper to taste
  • olive oil

How To Make texas cheese steak sandwich

    You will want your steak slice paper thin if possible. Also slice pepper and onions. Drizzle with a little olive oil and cook until onions are tender.

    Season beef with favorite seasonings, I use granulated garlic and black pepper. If cooking in a skillet remove cooked veggies and cook meat. If using a grill or griddle, move veggies to one side and place meat on and cook to doneness you prefer.

    Mix veggies and meat together and place on toasted bun with cheese. Enjoy this simple but delicious "burger".
