Ingredients For tatertot casserole

  • 1 pkg
    tator tots
  • 1 lb
    ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup (or any preferred)
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 can
    milk added to the soupcan for measure

How To Make tatertot casserole

  • 1
    Mix milk and soup together with salt and pepper. Set aside. Brown ground beef or turkey and drain. Layer beef and tots alternately in deep baking pan (about 13 X 9) or my favorite, an ovenproof dutch oven. Start with the ground beef to prevent sticking! Pour soup mixture all over the layers. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 min.s. Some ovens take a little longer. Test a tot in the center to make sure it is done.
