sweet & spicy asian meatballs
Wanted something Asian for dinner tonight but didn't want to go out or to the store so I came up with this by using ingredients I had on hand. Turned out fabulous.

4 Tbspteriyaki sauce

4 clovegarlic minced

1/2 cbread crumbs

2 lgeggs

2 Tbsplemongrass paste

1 Tbspchinese 5 spice
- SAUCE

20 ozcan chunk pineapple drain reserving juice

2 cpineapple juice
-
6 Tbspteriyaki sauce
-
1/2 cbrown sugar
-
1/4 cketchup
-
4 clovegarlic minced

2 Tbsprice vinegar
-
8birds eye chilies seeds removed and rehydrated in hot water and chopped

2 Tbspeach oyster sauce and hoisin sauce

4 Tbspcornstarch

1/2 cwater
How To Make sweet & spicy asian meatballs

1For the meatballs. Mix all ingredients together. Shape into balls should make about 30. Brown the meatballs in a frying pan working in batches. Transfer to a baking pan and bake at 350 degrees about 15 minutes.

2Meanwhile make the sauce. Set the pineapple chunks aside and mix the canned juice with the other 2 cups of pineapple juice. Mix all the ingredients together except cornstarch and water. Bring to a boil. Mix the cornstarch and water together and whisk into the sauce to thicken.

3Pour the sauce over the meatballs and garnish with the pineapple chunks. Great over rice
